Travis and Julie totally rocked their engagement session today in Laguna. They smiled the whole time from ear to ear, the beach was beautiful, and we got an amazing sunset! Travis is a pilot for the Navy and together they are planning a fun military wedding for next month. Check back soon to see more of these two!!
Over this past week, I attended a few events hosted by BevNET. One day in San Diego at the Paradise Point Resort for Brewbound and 2 days in Santa Monica for BevNET live featuring a New Beverage Showdown.
In San Diego, it was cool learning all about craft beer and how new beverage business face a lot of the same challenges as a photography business, like going though creation, marketing/ packaging, and then distribution. During the conference, speakers discussed industry news and shared inspirational stories.

Part 2: The new Beverage Showdown in Santa Monica had everything from teas, juices, and coffees, to kombucha, smoothies, and energy drinks.

Today, I’d like to share Stephanie and Ryan’s beautiful wedding. They got married this past Saturday at Sts. Simon + Jude Church, followed by a reception at the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach. Stephanie would describe her wedding as “formal- beachy” with a bold black and white color scheme with dark purple accents. Unlike most weddings, we started photography coverage at the ceremony. The first time we saw Stephanie and Ryan was when they arrived just moments before walking down the isle. My favorite moment of the day was when we got to spend some time one-on-one with Stephanie and Ryan at sunset. We walked around downtown Huntington Beach with the urban setting and some creative lighting shots with the beach in the background.

I love the Harris family: Kathryn, Scott, Katie, Delaney, and Dax. I’ve been shooting weddings with Kathryn for a few years now and first met all of them last summer at Delaney’s 2nd birthday party at the beach. Their family has recently welcomed a new little boy to the bunch who is just two months old. I can’t believe how fast time flies.
Today, I’d like to share some adorable family pictures of Aurora, James, little baby Reese, and their pup. If you’ve browsed my blog before you may recognize Aurora and James from their wedding pictures I featured from last year, and more recently their maternity session. I love being able to capture important milestones in their life as their family grows. Little baby Reese is now 4 months old and is a huge bundle of joy! Aurora chose to have their portraits done at a beautiful park overlooking Laguna Beach, a place where James used to hang out when he was younger. The light was absolutely amazing, and we got some beautiful pictures of her family.
